Hunting

"Of course I've had multiple offers to purchase her, but I simply cannot bear to part with her. I was nearly killed several times over getting her out of that damnable forest. And after I took the effort to tame her? She never fails to impress my guests, and I must admit she has become my favored bed mate. Whatever can be said about how tame and docile she is now, she's always maintained a fierceness in the bedchamber!" - Lord Croy

While there are many different Imperial Parks and hunting reserves across the Empire, few are as unique as the game offered at the Selous Preserve in southeast Africa. Besides the usual African game available, there is still a sizeable tribe of primitive humans living deep within, and they are available for the leisure of gentlemen who have the means and enjoy a challenge. To keep tribal numbers up and the hunt sporting, the game wardens have instituted several rules, backed with the full force of Imperial law, some of which are no more than one captured tribeswoman per expedition, nonlethal means only for the hunt, and no poaching. Violators of these rules will find themselves facing the full weight of Imperial Justice, no matter their class.

There are a very small amount of these special hunting permits issued per year, and the waiting list is growing longer by the year. The main object of this hunt is to capture one of the tribeswomen, bring her out of the park, and tame her to your service. This is a notoriously difficult endeavor, as the tribesmen fight desperately to protect their women, who are fierce warriors themselves. Hunters begin facing opposition once they penetrate deep into the park, and face attacks and ambush all the way out; it is not uncommon for hunters to disappear into the park and never return.

These tribeswomen are among the rarest servants in the Empire. Besides the rarity of their capture, they must be tamed, no easy task. Failure rates can be high, which can result in her death, or assigned some fate such as a gladiatorial arena. Once successfully tame, they become a prize showpiece for the gentleman who captured her, being shown off in tribal regalia at parties or waiting on important guests. Very often they are used as a living showpiece in the home; thus demonstrating the gentleman's courage and skill.
